The China Competence Center (CCC) at the University of St. Gallen drives forward its mission of China research and education through two core initiatives: groundbreaking research projects in management and economics featuring international collaborations with Chinese partners, and premium Executive Education programs developed in partnership with China's top universities and companies.
圣加仑大学中国能力中心（CCC）以两大核心举措引领中国研究与教育：在管理学与经济学领域开展前沿研究项目，深化与中国合作伙伴的国际协作；携手中国顶尖大学和企业，打造高端高管教育项目。
The CCC builds on the University of St. Gallen’s long-standing engagement with China as one of the earliest European universities to offer management training programmes for Chinese executives. In 1993, the Swiss Federal Government, the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the University of St. Gallen jointly launched the Sino-Swiss Management Training Programme, which provided structured management education to more than 1,000 senior Chinese executives. Over time, the scope and role of this initiative evolved, alongside the expansion of the CCC’s research agenda.
中国能力中心建立在圣加仑大学长期深耕中国事务的基础之上。作为欧洲最早为中国高管提供管理培训项目的高校之一，圣加仑大学于1993年与瑞士联邦政府、中国共产党中央委员会组织部共同启动了中瑞管理培训项目，为一千多名中国高级管理人员提供了系统化的管理教育。随着时间推移，该项目的内涵与角色不断发展，中国能力中心的研究议程也随之持续拓展。
Today, the China Competence Center’s research activities include the evaluation of the Sino-Swiss Free Trade Agreement (FTA); the Swiss in China Survey; the Chinese in Switzerland Survey; the Elite Quality Index, China; research on sustainable value creation among global and Chinese listed companies; as well as China-focused economic analysis and studies on innovation and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Its academic partners include Fudan University, the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), and Zhejiang University.
In the field of executive education, the China Competence Center has further deepened its collaboration with leading universities and business schools such as Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM) and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). Its award-winning programmes address key themes including international business, sustainable value creation, carbon neutrality, women’s leadership, and programmes tailored for CEOs.
Across all its research initiatives and executive education activities, the CCC seeks to foster a constructive, fact-based understanding of international business and economic relations between China and the West. Academic exchanges between China and Switzerland are designed to generate novel and insightful perspectives. In line with the University of St. Gallen’s guiding principle of “From Insight to Impact,” the CCC is committed to translating academic insights into practical opportunities for Swiss companies in China and Chinese companies in Switzerland.
Accordingly, the China Competence Center has articulated the following vision:
“Creating Knowledge, Building Bridges.”
目前，中国能力中心的研究工作包括：中瑞自由贸易协定（FTA）评估、《在华瑞士企业调查》、《在瑞中国企业调查》、中国精英质量指数（Elite Quality Index, China）、全球及中国上市公司可持续价值创造研究，以及聚焦中国的经济分析与创新和“一带一路”倡议（BRI）相关研究。其学术合作伙伴包括复旦大学、对外经济贸易大学（UIBE）和浙江大学。
在高管教育领域，中国能力中心进一步深化了与清华大学经济管理学院（SEM）、长江商学院（CKGSB）等顶尖高校和商学院的合作。其获奖课程项目围绕国际商务、可持续价值创造、碳中和、女性领导力以及面向首席执行官（CEO）的定制化项目等核心主题展开。
在所有研究项目与高管教育活动中，中国能力中心始终致力于以建设性、基于事实的方式深化对中西方国际商业与经济关系的理解。中瑞之间的学术交流旨在产生具有前瞻性和启发性的洞见。秉承圣加仑大学“从洞见到影响”的理念，中国能力中心致力于将学术成果转化为切实可行的实践机遇，推动瑞士企业在中国的发展，并支持中国企业在瑞士的拓展。
