Shaping Global Business and Leadership

The International Management area examines how organisations operate in global markets, collaborate across cultures, and build sustainable leadership structures. It focuses on emerging markets, corporate governance, and team performance at the highest managerial level. Four competence centres contribute to this field: 

  • India Competence Centre 
    Advances understanding of doing business in and with India, with a strong focus on rural innovation, leveraging satellite data analytics technologies to support farmers in rural and low-income regions, and international partnerships connecting academia, industry, and policymaking. 
  • China Competence Centre 
    Strengthens Sino-Swiss academic and business exchange through research on trade agreements, investment, innovation, and leadership, while delivering executive education designed for Swiss and Chinese business leaders. 
  • Corporate Governance Competence Centre 
    Promotes effective governance in listed, non-listed, and state-owned enterprises, identifying best practices through an international and interdisciplinary network of business, academic, and policy experts. 
  • Competence Centre for Top Teams 
    Studies high-performance teams and leadership dynamics using the St.Gallen Top Team Model, offering analytics, executive education, and applied research to improve team effectiveness in boards and executive groups.
